Renewal to Becoming: A New Moon Ritual for Writing Your Next Chapter

From Rage to Renewal — and Now, to Becoming

In Write the Rage, Release the Rage, we gave our anger a voice so it wouldn’t stay locked in our bodies. In From Rage to Renewal, we turned that release into ritual — harvesting lessons, burning old identities, and blessing the path forward.

Now, under the new moon, we step into the fertile dark — where endings become beginnings and intention becomes the seed of who we are becoming.

This is the turning point in your rage to renewal journey — the moment when the ashes of what you released become the foundation for the story you’re stepping into.

From Renewal to Becoming: The Power of Myth-Making

This is the moment to plant what you’ve been working toward all month — not in soil, but in story. Because every transformation begins with a new narrative.

You are not just healing — you’re myth-making.

This moment — this raw, in-between, cracking-open moment — is not small. It’s archetypal. It’s collective. It’s ritual-grade medicine.

Writing this letter is more than reflection — it’s spellwork. You’re bridging the space between who you were and who you’re becoming, planting your new identity in the fertile soil of your own story.

🌀 Every myth begins in the mundane until something shifts:

  • The character remembers who they are.

  • The healer steps across the bridge.

  • The rage becomes the fire that lights the way.

And that’s where you stand now — between who you were and who you are becoming.

The Ritual: A Letter from the Old You to the New You

This step in your journey of renewal is about integration — giving your old self the space to pass her wisdom to your new self.

You will need:

  • A white candle (Truth)

  • Your journal

  • A quiet space

Steps:

  1. Prepare Your Space

Light the white candle. Let your breath deepen. Allow the room to be still.

  2. Call in Your Old Self

Remember the you who began this cycle at the last full moon.

  3. Tarot Spread (or reflection exercise)

Complete the spread below before continuing to step four.

  4. Write the Letter

Begin: “Dear [Your Name], I am the you who…” and let her speak — releasing fears, naming lessons, and blessing your next chapter. Focus on your hopes for the person you are becoming.

  5. Seal the Seed

Read the letter aloud, fold it, and place it under your candle until the next full moon. This is your myth-in-motion.

New Moon Tarot Spread: Writing Your Next Myth

A spread to guide the letter from your current self to your future self.

Renewal to Becoming

Card 1 – The Old Chapter’s Gift

💬 What wisdom am I carrying forward from what I’ve just released?

Reveals the heart of the lessons from your rage to renewal journey.

Card 2 – The Wound That Becomes the Weapon

💬 What part of my pain will become a source of power?

Reframes the wound as sacred medicine — the element of your story that transforms into strength.

Card 3 – The Archetype I Am Stepping Into

💬 What mythic role or version of me is now emerging?

Shows the symbolic energy of your future self — the character you’re beginning to play in your own legend.

Card 4 – The Path of Becoming

💬 What will nourish and grow this new version of me over the coming lunar cycle?

Offers guidance on how to tend the “seed” from new moon to full moon.

Card 5 – The Light at the Bridge’s End

💬 What will I recognize about myself when I meet this future version at the next full moon?

A glimpse of the moment when the letter will have “arrived,” showing you the essence of what you’re moving toward.

How to Use in the Ritual

  1. Light your candle.

  2. Pull the cards in order, journaling after each one.

  3. Let the answers shape your letter from your current self to your future self.

  4. Fold the letter and place it on your altar under your candle — then keep tending to its energy until the full moon.

Why We Do This

By writing across this bridge between selves, you’re:

  • Giving closure to your old energy without abandoning it

  • Naming your vision in language your body and spirit can hold

  • Planting a seed of identity that will grow as the moon grows

This is how we move from rage to rebirth — not by bypassing the pain, but by letting it be the fire that forges us.

The upcoming weeks, as the moon waxes, are for tending to this dream to make it a reality. Become the vision — feed this intention with action, care, and belief until we arrive at the next full moon, ready to witness who you’ve become.

Experiment. Try something new. Change a routine, an outfit, a hairstyle. Step into the skin of the new you.

The Next Full Moon

When the moon is full again, pull the letter from beneath your white candle. Read it aloud.

How does it feel to hear those words now?

What feels rooted?

What feels ready to be released again?

Let the full moon illuminate both what has blossomed and what still needs to be cleared. The cycle spirals forward — another chance to write, release, and renew.
