Embracing the Change: How to Celebrate the Autumn Equinox

Get ready to embrace the magical energy of the Autumn Equinox, also known as Mabon! This seasonal shift signifies the second harvest and brings a beautiful balance as the sun shines equally in both hemispheres, creating an equilibrium between day and night. As we move forward, the nights slowly grow longer, creating the perfect opportunity to honor the sun and the abundant earth for the bountiful second harvest. In the realm of Wild Moon Healing, it's time to bask in the glow of the collective full moon and celebrate your incredible achievements. Remember last March when Aries' fiery energy ignited your dreams for the year ahead? You've poured your heart and soul into making those dreams a reality throughout the spring and summer, and now it's time to revel in your well-deserved victories and milestones. Cheers to your incredible journey and all that lies ahead!

Autumn Equinox

The Autumn Equinox occurs when the sun enters Libra, the astrological sign symbolized by the scales, which is particularly fitting for this time of year. In the calendar year, September is the ninth month, but in astrology, it is the sixth sign, indicating that we are halfway through the lunar year. The characteristics of Libra Energy embody a sense of balanced judgment and careful consideration. Use these attributes after the harvest by deciding what to store, consume, and leave in the fields to decay if necessary. Thoughtful deliberation is required to determine which bulbs to plant to prepare the ground for the spring equinox and what you can safely do without during the winter months.

Embrace the refreshing seasonal change as an opportunity to nurture and support yourself for the months ahead. Reflect on the progress you've made since the spring and celebrate your growth, accomplishments, and the wisdom you've gained from your experiences. As we bask in the full moon's energy, let's take a moment to appreciate how far we've come. It's a time to acknowledge the positive changes in our lives and to let go of what no longer serves us.

Take a thoughtful look at what you need to release. Anything that doesn't align with your goals or bring you joy should be surrendered. Identify anything holding you back or causing unnecessary stress, whether physical clutter or negative influences. Remember, Wild Moon Healing is both an outer and inner journey, so turn your gaze inward to find your answers. It may be time to bid farewell to unhelpful behaviors, self-doubt, or limiting beliefs. Embrace this opportunity for growth and renewal as you make space for positivity and abundance in your life.

Show yourself grace. Unlike a monthly lunar cycle where the full moon occurs at a specific moment in time, whose energy extends a few days before and after it, the energy of the collective full moon lasts weeks. You don't have to create immediate change. Celebrations go on for months. We have Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Octoberfest, Halloween, Day of the Dead, Mombasa Carnival, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Yule, Christmas, Boxing Day, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s to celebrate, offering us ample time for celebration and reflection. Don't forget to celebrate even the smallest of wins because that is a critical task in your healing journey. But also take the time to reflect on what you need to let go of. As the days grow shorter, like the waning moon, it's a sign to slow down and look within. Embrace the opportunity for introspection and renewal.

Autumn Equinox

I am incredibly passionate about the power of words and their impact. As we embrace this season, let's celebrate balance, shed negativity, and prepare for healing and success. It's a time for coming together, honoring traditions, and grounding ourselves in wisdom and gratitude. How do these words or phrases make you feel? They might remind you of something truly special to celebrate, something to heal from, or something to release. One fantastic way to honor this positivity is through gratitude journaling. It's an incredible method to explore and appreciate all the beautiful things in your life that are worth celebrating.
